Today we are at a crossroads. As a nation we are struggling to remember who we are and what it is we are to become. With different backgrounds and perspectives influencing each of our lives, what can we turn to that can unify us? How do we stop the pull to divide and separate ourselves and make the conscious choice to lift and serve one another?

This American Covenant document is one small step in helping us come together to heal our nation. By signing this covenant, we commit ourselves to doing better and promise to take action to end any act, practice or philosophy that destroys the freedom and hope of another.
